The Greenfield Word Festival features both young and old writers, both those just finding their voice and well-seasoned authors with many books and awards to their credit--and this year and last, it has also featured Voices from Inside/Out.

Women from Voices from Inside/Out read their work and the work of previously incarcerated women to a packed classroom at Cambridge College's Tower Square campus in Springfield. They received a standing ovation, and a vigorous, emotional question-and-answer session followed.
On September 25, 2015, VFI/Out performed at the White Rose bookstore in Holyoke. Named after the nonviolent German White Rose movement that opposed Hitler during the 1930s and 1940s, the White Rose welcomes speakers and readers from all walks of life. VFI/Out's reading attracted a full room.
