Formerly incarcerated women, members of Voices from Inside/Out presented at Dr. Audrey Murph's Springfield College class on Criminal Justice and Mental Health Systems on November 8, 2015. One student in the audience said, "I wasn’t able to make it to church today, but I feel like you preached to me." Another student, speaking of a teaching from her mentor, said, "It isn’t the snakebite that kills you, it is the venom injected into you. VFI is the fragrance that counteracts the venom." In written feedback, students thanked VFI/Out poets for their performance, their inspiration, and their courage to change.
